As I sit here with a lovely afternoon cup of coffee - I struggle to imagine what I want this blog to be. First off - I think we need an introduction.
My name is Stephanie, I live in the sticks of West Virginia with my fam, I've been a Baptist since I was 7 and a geek for as long as I can remember. I didn't always call myself one - however, when you're 13 and your favorite thing on tv is watching re-runs of Quantum Leap, Lois and Clark and Sailor Moon - you know there's something amiss. I went to an art college in Columbus, Ohio - graduated with a bachelor's in Media Study - and have failed at that ever since. Now, 7 years after the fact, I'm trying to make sense of what it is that I should be doing. I love storyboarding, illustrating and writing. I also love these things called Doctor Who, Star Trek, The Hunger Games, Firefly, etc., etc. I grew up on a steady diet of video gaming and I really can't imagine my life without it.
So - back to the blog. This is a strange challenge for me - but one that I hope to share with other people. Yes, there will be some Christian perspective . . ing . . on things - and I do plan on trying to share a Bible verse every day - however, that's not all that this blog is about. I don't like to box my spirituality and am generally open minded. I'll have talks about geeky t.v. shows on here, movies, video games - among other things. I don't want to scare anyone away on here - but I also don't want flame mail from exasperated readers on why I'm imposing my religion on my blog. It's a two-edged sword - you use the side that suits you best.
Therefore please, read. Follow. Discard what you don't agree with and relish in the things you do. Discussion is always welcome, too.
So hop in - and here we go. ::cue that grindy, squeaky sound that the Tardis makes::

I look forward to--and have always respected--your perspective. I look forward to seeing how you spin it, my dear. Tell the world you can be Geek and Believe and nothing actually explodes. I'm here for the journey.

See?! You learn something new everyday ;)

Ladies and gentleman - ^ my sister! (not by blood - but pretty much by everything else) Thank you, my dear.
